Backcountry Digs: Montana Yurt Skiing

Backcountry Digs “Montana Yurt Skiing” involved two camera operators, four cameras, two drones, a handful of GoPros, and enough Goal Zero solar power to keep it all going for four days in a yurt. Combined with the best snow of the year and four talented skiers, the outcome had to be good. On the first night, the group was so excited that they wanted to hike and ski by headlamp. Once I overheard this conversation, I pulled out an on-camera LED light. With a little ingenuity from David Powder Steel, we had it mounted on a helmet in no time, turning a fun night ski into a filming opportunity.
